Paying for a Funeral

Paying for a funeral can be a worry, especially if you’ve never arranged a funeral before you may not be aware of the costs involved. We’ll be open and honest with you about what things cost – our prices are online to give you an indication of the sort of fees involved.

After we’ve spoken to you about the type of funeral you want, we’ll give you an estimate of what it will cost. You can make changes at this stage if you wish, but do remember that this can affect the cost.

If you require assistance towards the cost of the funeral there is a ‘Funeral Support Payment‘, this could help pay for funeral costs if you live in Scotland. It usually will not cover the full cost of the funeral but it could help pay for some costs. To find out more you can call 0800 182 2222 or visit their website at mygov.scot
